Design for the 150px tile
Most players see your thumbnail on a phone. Here's how to make sure it still reads.
You design at 1920×1080, but a lot of players will see your thumbnail in a grid on a phone, where it's a rectangle about the size of a postage stamp. Design for the small version first.
The squint test
Shrink your thumbnail to ~150px wide (or step back and squint). Can you still tell what's happening and read the title? If not, simplify.
- Titles: 3 words or fewer, chunky font, thick dark outline.
- Characters: fill at least a third of the frame.
- Avoid thin lines, small UI, and detailed backgrounds — they turn to mush.
- Keep important things away from the edges; some surfaces crop or overlay corners.

Don'tPreview it
Open any thumbnail in Bloxlabs and use the Roblox preview to see it at real tile size next to other games.
